DVD player problems

Ive got a Denver-DVD-176 (not that it matters i guess). Now the problem that i've got is that it only shows black and white picture on my all tvs i try it on. I sent it on repair only to get it back with the message that there were nothing wrong with it, and when trying it at the electronics store where I got it it worked fine (They tried it on a really expensive TV who can handle all kinds of formats) . I think it might have something to do with it being set on american TV signal standard ntsc (Ive got PAL since im in Europe) but im not shure at all, so do any of you guys know what might be the problem??

Have you tried changed it to PAL? (it should be in the manual)

Be sure so you are using correct cables, using for example svhs cables to a tv that does not suppport svhs will usually cause black and white problems.

Be also sure to play PAL DVDs(Region 2 and 4).

Im sure that I use correct cables. I went down to the store today and connected it to four different TV sets and it worked on everyone! Is there any video signal that old TVs cant handle that new ones can??
And I can't change the video out signals (ie. PAL NTSC) in the dvd menu for some reason.
It has worked before, the trouble I have is to convince the salesmen at the store that the DVD is broken when it works on all new TV sets and not older ones (that it shoult work properly on)

Ive got it figured out now, it was the PAL/NTSC features that was all fucked up... Any moderator can delete this
