  1. I've tried using vDub but no luck.....when I open first file it just gives me a blank screen. I have Main Concept codec installed, and have tried using nadub as well, but still no joy.
Can I do this in TmpgEnc ? If so, please point me to a good guide as I'm struggling big time.

Ultimately, I want to be able to combine 2 xVid .avi files in to one file and copy to DVD-R in DVD format.

  2. First, when you first open a file in virtual dub you will see a blank screen. Drag the button at the bottom of the screen to the right and you should see a picture. If not, load your film into gspot or avicodec and see what it says. Let us know.

    AviSynth:

    AviSource("C:\handsy1.avi")+AviSource("C:\handsy2. avi")

#Who says AVI files have to match when you have AviSynth?

  4. Thanks so far guys.......

laddydaddy, which button...there are loads, plus when I click any of them down the bottom I get "VideoSourceAVI error: The source image format is not acceptable. (error code -2)" !

Gspot reports it as xvid with ac3 audio.

Tommyknocker, haven't tried avisynth yet, will try and report back

  5. The button I speak of is actually right above all the loads of buttons. It is to the very left above the stop button. You also have ac3 audio which will give you a problem unless you have the latest version of virual dub.

  8. Just look at the buttons on the bottom of the screen. Look at the one at the very left. Above that is a rectangular button which has a long white rectangle next to it. Drag that button to the right. Also, do you have the xvid codec installed?
