    I have a Plextor PX504A and it will not burn at 4x. I have tried several
    programs and they all burn at 1x at best no matter what media I use
    and I have tried more than one. The firmware on Plextor's site does not
    seem to address this issue. Has anyone else got a program to burn at
    4x with this drive?

    FYI, PX-504A is a rebadged NEC-ND-1100A. It's a +R/RW burner and burns either 2.4X or 4X on +R discs. How is it possible to burn at 1X when 1X is not even part of the +RW's spec?
