Hey guys. I've burned over 100 movies at this point, using a variety of programs, including DVD X Copy, Xpress, and DVDClone. However, I've noticed that on some movies I've burned using DVD X Copy Xpress, there seems to like milli-second pauses during certain parts of the movie. It's not really a problem since it hasn't happened yet during big action sequences or anything, but like during "The Perfect Storm", it happened like every 2 or 3 min. during a section of the movie. Was this from compression or is this just a copying fluke? Thanks

Or there is the fact that DVD X Copy (any version) is a festering piece of dog crap.

I'm using Ritek G04 4x DVD-R's for copying. Gurm, how could you say something like that? They're programs work like a dream. It's alot better then using 3 programs, and waiting 2 hours for everything to ripped and re-encoded. :P

  5. The pause may be happening when your player goes from one VOB file to the next so maybe try the same DVDR on another player. I have seen this myself on a few backups made from DVDX Xpress however on the same player it doesn't always repeat.

  6. Personally I would bin DVDXCopy myself, tried three different versions and everyone of them sucks. I now have many coasters and several bad quality movies. DVDXCopy in theory, is very good but I thinks it still has a long way to go before it will match the quality of other methods.

Go to 321studios site and enter the forum, you will see many many posts concerning the issues with DVDXCopy.
