  1. I'm new, obviously, and I was wondering how I could make copies of VCDs onto other VCDs? Same thing with DVDs. I have a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-104. I just need to know: What program I should use? What type of CDRs for the VCD, and what type of DVDRs for DVDs. I'm trying to get my home fmaily videos on DVDs, and my relatives put theres on VCD, so I need to copy there VCDs onto copies for mine. Also, is it possible to copy a VCD onto DVDs? I want to also try and get the best quality.

I looked through the website, but I couldn't understand the terminology. If anyone could be as so kind and help me through this, it'd be much appreciated. Also, if you could leave your AIMs if I don't understand something, that'd be appreciated too. Thanks to anyone who responds.

  3. My.

You must have given up on reading awful fast. You could:

    1) use the search function to learn and find each of your answers
    2) buy an all in 1 package and read the manual (Pinnacle CD\DVD may do the things you want) (I'm not recommending it BTW, but Its at BestBuy for Free after rebate.)
    3) Find someone to do it for you.

  4. download isobuster, open the mpeg folder off the vcd, extract only mpeg2 file, take the file encode it to dvd format in tempgenc using the "project wizard", author them with tmpgenc dvd author (payware) or Ulead (payware) and then burn the "ts_folder" the author program created.

Tmpgenc dvd author has proven to be well worth my $68. It will author and burn, but not encode.
