  1. Hi,

I'm using this system: Centrum Gemini DVD (optically connected), LG digital receiver and 5 JVC speakers (setup: front and surround speakers big, center small, no sub).

This is the problem: When I listen to TV oder VCR, and Prologic II is activated, the center sounds crystal clear. When listening to DVD (Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS), the center produces a very low treble level.

I've tried different digital amps (eg. Sherwood) with the same result. Some idea? The speaker placement? Poor german sound tracks (the english tracks seem to be more brillant)? Wrong channel level setup?

    Kind regards

    RMC

is the centre speaker smaller than the rear speakers and front speakers?

If you set the centre to small, your amp will take signal away from it to protect it. try setting it to "medium" or if it's the same size as the other speakers, use the same setting.

German is quit e guttural language, if it's a very small speaker it probably can't reproduce some of the frequencies very well, if at all.
