Ok i converted an avi using dvd2svcd with cce as the encoder. I have my m2v and ac3 and muxed mpg files.
The ac3 that it extracted is 5 seconds longer than the video for some reason. So i muxed the mpg and got a mp2 file of the exact length of the video. Only problem, is i want to use the 5.1 ac3, maestro said that the mp2 was a 2 channel file of 384 kbits or something. Where as it said the ac3 was a 6 channel sound of 384 kbits.
The avi was originally 23.976 ntsc but i converted it to pal. so maybe this has thrown the audio out i dunno. Am i screwed for using the 5.1 sound that came with the avi or can i salvage it.
Would I have to extract the audio using virtualdub and then ac3 machine or besweet to create the ac3. Would this create a 5.1 sound file.
thanks for any help
