    Hi,

I am using DVDx to encode my ripped DVD. What I want to know is what resolution I should use. It's a PAL DVD at a resolution of 720x576, the movie has an aspect ratio of 2.35:1, what I want to do is put the zoom at 'Full (16/9 or 4/3 input)'. What I want to know is what resolution I use to make it look ok upon playback?

    Thanks for any help.

  2. Are you outputting to DVD or VCD or what? In case of a DVD, just use DVD-shrink and you'll be able to keep subtitles and audiotracks of your choice.

a resolution of 640X272 would be fairly normal for Divx at 2.35:1, and will be the correct aspect ratio when viewed on a PC monitor.
