  1. What's am I doing wrong? I am trying to re-encode and edit a DVD with TMPGEnc. I can load the 1st VOB file of 3, and have sucessfully converted it. This has happened with 2 different DVDs, I have not tried any others. Whenever I try to load the 2nd or 3rd VOB , TMPGEnc gives a file unsupported message. Huh ? Why does it accept one, then not the others?

I have also experienced many crashes of TMPGEnc with WIN XP when loading or clicking on the clip frame box or filters box, sometimes load video. The program just disappears, no XP "file must close" type message or anything. Anybody experience this?

Can VOB files be used directly in TMPGEnc Author program?

I have had the same problem . It would seem that TMPG dous not like vob files. You have to use DVD to AVI to first demux the vision and sound.
then TMPG wil except the files and encode.

Only the first vob contains the headers needed by TMPEG to open the vob file. Solution is to rip the DVD as "one large file" or "no split" with your ripping program.
