Ok I am having some troubles i jsut got my digital camera and it makes avi movies now I wanted to burn these onto a vcd but tmpenc will not convert them. I used gspot and it gives me this.
Under Video it gives the codec name of mjpg and in the stats it says two compatible codecs installed and when I click more info I get this.
The following codecs should be capible of processing this format:
AVI Draw
MJPEG Decompressor
And if I hit the render button this is what is in the video slot:
(S) --> AVI Splitter --> MJPEG Decompressor --> Color Space Converter --> (R)
Can anyone help me with getting tmpenc to convert this file so I can burn it onto a vcd?

You'll have to use VirtualDub to render the movie out to a compatiblie avi before putting it through tmpgenc. VDub is the only program I have found that will directly open and convert digital camera movies. Just load up your movie and save as avi or old avi. The file is gonna get bigger but at least its something tmpgenc or another program can see.

And if quality is an issue, you may also want to look into frameserving. Once you get Virtual Dub to open your video, you can use its filter and TMPGEnc's without having to save to an AVI file first.
