  1. I ripped the dvd movie to hard drives then burned them into dvd+rw, it's just fine ( to make sure it working fine on dvd player)
Then I burned those ripped files into my dvd+r , and all the time, I got an error when files burned into dvd+r. those dvds are burned almost finishing disk. I just dont' know why it happened several times ( wasted 5 dvd+r so far...)
*** can be burned into dvd+rw , but not dvd+r ??? please advice.
    I am using "CopyToDvd", Nero.

    thanks alot.

    newbie.

  2. is there error occuring during the burning process. You are XXX amount through with the burn and it pops back and error?

A suggestion would be to download dvddecrypter (on the left under tools) and rip the DVD+R to your hard drive as an image and then use DVDdescrypter to burn the image back to a +R.

Personally, I have a -R and have done this with no problems.

Let us know what the actual error is (buffer underrun, ????). Something else that I thought of is fragmented hard drive. I have had bad burns that I attributed to a fragmented hard drive.

Post back with the errors and a little more detail and we'll see what we can do.

  3. If I get you right you burn DVD+RW successfully but get error at the end of the burning on DVD+R.

Writing DVD+RW is always easier than DVD+R because the burner has to use different technique and +RW doesn't require finalizing.

Earlier firmwares often had problems burning new medias and needs to be updated to improve writing and reading strategy.

Older Nero versions also have some issues.

We might help you but give more details, like

    - burner type, speed
    - firmware version
    - media code, type, speed
    - Nero version nr., settings
You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off.
