I've been working on a Sony VGN-A130 laptop.
One Unknown Device left to do ACPI\ATK0100\1010100
According to the owner the kids lost some of the recovery CDs he had made. The Old hard drive is dead.
I remember from other Sony laptops that the driver for that needs to come from sony to work. However this I can not find.
Any suggestions on where to go to download.
Thanks

acpi should be in the chipset driver package. -
You'd think it would be in the chipset package and just to be sure I tried it again. No go. Still that one little yellow error mark.
I had been on their website. I use the Sony Download taxi because it makes things easy. I had remembered doing the chipset earlier and yes I had and it didn't help.
I remember having problems with other Sony laptops where only the Sony driver will work. Sad to say the ones I used previously don't work on this dang thing.
Thanks for the reply. -
how about doing the listed bios update, then reset bios to "safe" settings and trying the intel m.b. inf again. if it still doesn't work try downloading the inf direct from intel.

right click on the device and "uninstall" reboot and let it re-install?
maybe point it to the inf if it can't locate a driver. -
It seems as if it needs a Sony driver, Oh well. Thanks for the suggestions.
