The ACM is an Audio Compression Manager. It looks for the proper audio codecs on your system to compress and decompress audio. Chances are you do not have the proper codecs needed for vdub. In your previous post you said that you lost some audio in yout TMPG file. Make sure that the joined files really have audio in that particular section of th original video. If they do, then take your joined file and save the video part without the audio. Load the file into vdub then choose audio>no audio. Go to video and select video>direct stream copy. Then save the file as an avi. You will now have an avi file without audio and a wav file created by goldwave. Load these files directly into TMPG or Main Concept or vdub. This process has always worked for me. If you use the original video file with the original audio in it, it may cause the problems you are having even if you are using a proper wav file.

I just edited my last post. I didn't pay too close attention and I thought you were using an avi file. Just look again at my last post.

When you demux it TMPG separates the audio from the video. By using only the video file (m2v) and the wav file created by goldwave you will be loading an audio only file with an video only file. Hopefully this will solve the problem. Do not use the audio file that was demuxed with TMPG.
