can anyone please tell me how to use ac3fix, tried to understand instruction given in link below, but i must be doing something wrong.

It's a command line utility and the command is:

ac3fix <inputfilename>.ac3 <outputfilename>.ac3

The pathnames for both ac3fix and your input file must be included. If you drag and drop both ac3fix and your input file into the directory that your dos window opens into, then you can omit the path names. When you open the dos window the directory is listed on the command line.

Some other useful dos commands:
dir -gives the listing of files and sub-directories
cd.. -goes back one directory level
cd<directoryname> -changes into that directory
ac3fix/? -helpscreen for ac3fix
