when trying to convert and svcd file, it comes out unplayable. it comes out pixelated and only shows about half the screen. the other half is green.
it worked fine with vcd.
here is a screenshot of what it looks like

Hey,

- does your play play svcds?
- if you got a pioneer try the pioneer trick.
Greatings,
Yf -
i will try that vob patch....
my player is fine. it looks like this on the computer. so i didnt even burn it yet -
didnt realize i was posting as "guest"
ok this is what im doing.
all i want to do is put my SVCD movies on dvdr. as you can see above in the screenshot, this is what it looks like.
i use vcd gear to extract the mpg
then i use svcd2dvdmpg to made the compliant
then i use tmpgenc dvd author to make the vobs
and what u see in the screenshot is exactly what i get. i got that DVD Patcher program, but where in the process am i supposed to use it? -
and whats this about a pioneer fix? i have a pioneer dv353 and a dv333
-
ok i finally figured it out
for anyone who read this and didnt know what to do...this is what i did
exracted bins with vcdgear
used (s)vcd2dvdmpg
SVCD
mpg to es
720 and 1st header
then used tmpgenc dvd author to make the vobs
then used dvdpatcher to patch it back to 480 1st header
then it was all goodie
