    Well, this is a new one. Tmpg is shutting down (getting the illegal action error) when I try to open this one particular mpg. It plays fine in wmp, and Nero doesn't question it, either. Anyone ever had this happen?

    Tmpg is still working with other files. Very weird.

    Sounds like your mpeg is severely corrupted... never judge the file by the fact that it plays in WMP; WMP will play nearly every messed up file (that's why it's great). As for fixing it, I don't know.
