I have been using ConvertXToDVD for years and know the programs like the back of my hand. Recently something very strange has been happening when I am converting my file. The program will convert some, more or less 50 percent then restart my PC. what is going on here?
Can anybody help me?
The same happens when I use Magic Video Converter, doing fine until it just restarts out of the blue.
I can rip and burn full official DVD's. Menus, Special Features and all. Also can burn CD's and data DVD's as well.
What is going on here? I love ConvertX and miss using it.
Please help me, wise Burning Wizards.![]()

I dont know if its program issue or heat. Converting makes alot of things overheat and shutdown.Try cleaning the fans and the inside of comp.W/compressed air.And on the software side of things, Have you resently updated this program?
People who love sausage and respect the law should never watch either of them being made. -
sounds suspiciously like an overheating cpu problem. check your temps while the cpu is running 100% for awhile. either boot the comp into bios screens or get a program like this to monitor with - http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

I will try the heat issue, thank you. My fans and internals are all clean, I just bought a nice Antec case.
No I have not updated it, I am using version 2.23 if that helps any of you guys.
And thanks once again. It really sucks not being able to use the program, I know it has a lot of love around here. And rightfully so.
