    Pinnacle has released latest patch for S8 i.e. version 8.8.17.0

    I like the S8 easyness but the re-rendering was unacceptable and hopefully they fixed it.

    I like it, too, but Pinnacle's been trying to get it right for about a year now, and they still haven't succeeded. I've given up on Studio 8 for anything but the simplest editing tasks; my main editor and DVD authoring tools now are Sonic Foundry's Vegas 4.0 and DVD Architect 1.0.

    You can bet I won't be upgrading to Studio 9 if/when it comes out! Burn me once, and all that.
