Having trouble when capturing at 320X240. I select all my settings and select 320x240. The reason for wanting this setting is for smaller size file.
I capture a lot and I can't store them any higher due to file size.
When the capturing is finished I sometimes get 320x237 and a few have come out 320x236. The problem is I can't join all the files I want due to some being 320x240 and others being 320x237/236.
What do I need to do in order to get all my captured files to be the same 320x240? or can i change them after they are captured?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a guess as to what might be the problem, but it's only a guess.
Sometimes during capture you can see either a black border (usually on the left) and at the bottom (or top) of the capture area there is "noise".
Are you cropping these out during the capture? If you are, then you're changing your capture resolution and straying from the 320x240 you were after.
The 320x240 resolution you set for capture is changed if you crop, resize, etc. Capture software doesn't act like an MPG encoder where you set your output resolution, make your changes, and run it with the guarentee that your MPEG will be made according to your set output resolution.
Any cropping or size changes made during the capture will affect the resolution.
Having said that, you can use the letterboxing function in Vdub to add a small border and set the file for the correct size. You'll end up re-encoding the file but it's better than nothing. There may be other methods that other members can suggest but this is all I can think of right now.

Thanks Nitemare that sounds like it could be the problem. I will do some test later and see. I'm on my way out this morning but I wanted to make sure I don't forget to thank you.
Thanks
