My hardware: Athalon XP+ 2200, 120 Gb WD HD, ADS instant DVD USB capture device.
My experience so far: 1 week of playing with this stuff using Sonic MyDVD and Showbiz
My progress: Was able to capture a VHS tape and burn a DVD that played properly in my JVC DVD player.
My problem: It seems no matter what software I use, when I capture a movie and play it back, even before burning it to a DVD, there are intermittent micro-pauses. They occur infrequently, about once every 10 minutes, and last only for a portion of a second. I have no idea what this symptom is called. Just tiny little glitches that drive me buggy.
I think that they might have something to do with my computer writing the data to the hard drive, but am not sure really.
After scanning the 200+ messages here, and the 360+ messages in the newbie database, I am no closer to understanding what is going on...so as they say, "you are my last hope."
The glitches that occur during the hard drive capture are transferred to my DVD video. I can see them even when using the Microsoft Multimedia player with the captured video file.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
