Hi,
I am trying to convert some AVI's I have downloaded with CC SP 2.62 when I press encode I get this message:
Read only 0 bytes, while expecting 8 bytes.
I can get CC to work with some AVI's that I have but not the ones I really need to use.
I have noticed other people have had this problem but have not noticed any saying they have solved it.

The reason why that error occurs is because the CRC Check failed. There's a 'CRC Crack Removal' available on the net. People says it works, but there are occassional video problems. I remember another topic about this 'CRC Crack Removal' but can't remember which. =|

This has worked thanks, but I now have this error:
couldn't find appropriate video codec for div3.

It sounds like you're trying to open a DiVX.avi. Depending on how the DiVX was originally encoded CCE may not be able to open it.
You also might just need to install the DiVX codecs on your PC. -
You can re-encode it but you'll kill the quality. Try opening the avi with TMPGEnc and see if that works.
