CompUSA has all Memorex CD and DVD Media 40% off Aug 3 - 9. You have to go to the CompUSA web site, print out the ad and bring it to the store to get the 40% off.

    One print out per household.

Can anyone verify whether the Memorex 4X +R media is RICOHJPN? It sounds like you only get one shot at the savings...so you can't buy one pack, try it out, then go back and buy more.

To answer my own question, I just picked up the last 4 25-packs at my local CompUSA and tried one of them out. The packages are labeled Made in Taiwan, with media code RICOHJPNR01 (i.e. Ritek). These discs are good. You can get them online for $35.99 per 25-pack. Still not as good a price as the now-legendary Best Buy sale on TDK's, but the smaller spindles are easier to handle, IMHO.

  12. down here in Texas, USA I went to COMPUSA after reading this post with the online savings coupons in hand. I found 50 spindle memorex for $99.00. Smaller spindles averaged after rebate to a buck and some change.

This is a FYI before you waste the gas. If you are an online shopper kind of person, you can find much better deals on DVD-R media. Just acquired a 100 spindle for $77.00 with free ground shipping. I am not going to list the company as there were a few (now banned) folks that decided to use DVDRHELP as their own advertising board. If you are really interested in the media price you can either post asking for the site here or send me a private email message.

I am saying that part because it really ticked me off that my inbox was getting filled with a certain someone telling me all the great deals that were available at this one particular store. Anyway..........

It's really only a good deal if you're buying the 4X +R media. Because then you are getting high quality (Ritek/Ricoh) 4X media for about $1.45 each, which is very competitive with online prices.
