I don't know about the poster, but one reason I would like to remove it is so I can back up the DVD to tape!
Disks get broken and scratched you know
Seriously though, I have vcrs in several places/rooms and everyone I know has one. I have one DVD player in ONE room and most people I know have NONE.
So it is ok for me to take a tape I own or a disk I own to a friends house to watch (perfectly legal), but what happens when they do not have the correct type of player? Or if I want to watch the movie in a room with only a VCR?
As I get more disks I'll most likely buy more DVD players, but most my stuff is on VHS and I only have about 20 comercail DVDs, so why buy 3 more players. I can watch tapes fine when I go to bed and plan to fall asleep durring the flick anyway
Not that I'd want to do many of them onto tape, but there are a few I would do. And a couple are real SLEEPERS anyway -
If that's the case then a SIMA would be a cheaper alternative.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.
