dvd plays on pc only

Has anyone had this problem? DVD plays on pc only. Had alot of luck till the last few updates, re-read guides to see if i missed something but no luck...I'm converting bins using the + version, making 2 movies into 2 vts.. Thx

Not personally things still work OK.
Have you changed anything else apart from updating svcd2dvd ?
Could be many things, Media not supported by dvd player.

did you check the dvd players (brown button on the left) if you browsers plays vcd-dvds or svcd-dvd and if it supports dvd+/-r(w)? If one of your anwsers to these questions is no then you can stop trying cause it will never work with any program.

Thx iooi, haven't chg'd a thing and media (DVD-RW) played on same players before...And thx also to yf2001usa but i'm not the beginner u might think, players were bought because they worked.... Just damn funny that they ALL work with powerDVD???? Hope someone else can share some ideas..

You say you are using dvd-RW is this a new disk or one you have been using for a while, as i wonder if its getting past its best ? Never used them myself.
When you say play Ok on the computer do you mean playing the files from your hard drive before burning or reading the files off the disk ?

Yes the DVD-RW are new, maybe 8 burns now on it and they worked before..

And i meant the burned DVD's (via COPY2DVD) play on pc. Sorry for not making that point..

Anybody have any ideas? I'm good and lost now...

the problem is players not playing svcd's. on some of the players i have the screen goes black but sound can be heard. the trick i use on the bush player is skip forward, the skip back then fast forward to the start on the film, works for me any way.

I get NO sound, just a long reading period which ends up with disk being ejected.... but reads and plays on pc....

I would be tempted to use just a dvd-r instead of a -rw to see if that makes a diffrence.
Sounds like dvd player is having a problem reading the disks.

finally fixed problem, it was copytoDVD. The updaate didn't install properly. The re-install was the fix here and thx to all who tried to help here....mark
