can not author an 8-hour DVD on DVD-RW

I followed a guide here and able to create a 8-hour DVCD thru Ulead Movie factory 2. One problem, it can not be burned on DVD-RW only on DVD+RW, no matters what burning or authroing SW that I used. I used 128kbit MPEG audio. Any idea why ?? Thanks
