Menu Ideas

Hey, I was wondering if anyone wants to post their custom menu's they use for VCDEasy. The thing is most of us; ok, maybe except for afew run out or ideas on layouts, colour schemes etc.

SO I was wondering if there was actually anyone willing to post a picture of their menu and maybe even a mask for their design that they wouldnt mind people using for their VCD's

pretty crapy, I know. Just one that I did today for the kids.
The NEXT button takes you to a screen where the heart has moved to Episode 2.
Pressing Play on the appropriate screen takes you to that episode.

YAY!!! Ive finally come up with an idea. Just a quick menu but it aint to bad me thinks

How did you get the background effect ?

Are you using a "moving cursor" as well as number keys to select what plays ?

In the above example, are the 3 items actually just 1 big mpeg or 3 spereate ones.
I've had problems with chapters in all but the first mpeg on my multi-mpeg SVCD's as you may have read in my other post.

I used PhotoShop to create the background, that was the main menu.

When someone selects 1, 2 or 3 on their remote it switches to the correct Page that they selected. But instead of just changing pages it highlights the text.

*For Example.
The main menu is 'Menu0' if some one selects 1 to watch the movie it switches to 'Menu1'. The thing is 'Menu1' is exactly the same as 'Menu0' except the text that says PLAY MOVIE is highlighted like the Title is. This page is shown for one second and then the movie starts to play.

On a T.V this is a nice effect as it looks like when you press a button the correct text gets highlighted as if different options on a DVD are.
It takes a while to set-up but if you are distributing your VCD to ur buddies its nice to make this effect.

Neways I have added the background without text at the link below, the colour is different, I think this colour comes out better on a TV. If anyone wants to use it they can, tis not the best but its still quite a nice effect, and I use it on my VCD's.
