Terminator 3

Saw this movie over the weekend. What a waste of time and money. I guess now that the "Terminator Trilogy" will never make it to the top. What a shame really, as I enjoyed the first two very much.

With apologies to the purists< i would like to modify the saying "All work and no play ..." to "All action, no story, makes a movie a damp squib". Wonder if James Cameroun would like to sue the new director (can't even remeber his name) for fouling up the great work.

o well...they needed another terminator movie to tie it with THE MATRIX triology..so why not..

terminator seems to be "prequels" of the matrix anywayz...

To even insinuate that "The Matrix" ties into the Terminator is moronic...

Storylines must progress and I thought Edward Furlong was a whiny brat in T2, and Linda Hamilton's character development had peaked and she no longer could fit into the story. If you want to see the same story with the same characters again, why not just rent T2?

I've always been a fan of the Terminator, and thought 3 was a great movie - but by FAR the best Terminator movie is the original.

I am no huge terminator fan...and haven't seen T3 yet....but I thought T2 was much better then the Terminator. Both were damn good movies though with serious action..... it was great that at the beginning of T2 you would think that "AHNOLD" was the bad guy again....and even watching it recently...b/c I hadn't seen it in years...it would really look that way because the T-1000 when he took the cop car from the cop only pushed him out of the way...or hit his head and took the car....he didn't kill him....


of course, once you find out that "AHNOLD" is good...which was suspensful leading up to it...but once you find that out..of course the T-1000 now starts KILLING people like the kids foster parents and everyone else in his path....lol


Why not kill the first cop before taking his car? OH...because it wasn't in the script and that woulda spoiled the suspense on who was good and who was bad...anyway...great movie.

You could be right....but if that's the case, they don't show it intentionally..because maybe he just "punched" him to take the car.

The good Terminator/Protector in the first one was a dick too....he didn't kill innocent people...but he would use force. It would seem the same with the T-1000 from T2.....to make it seem like he was a dick but still the "protector" for the mother and son....and that was pretty slick considering that who woulda ever thought Arnold would be the good guy in T2? I've never seen another movie where the first movie has a definitve bad guy but the sequel has that murderer type bad guy turn into a good guy...have you?

I viewed T3 at the cinema last Friday and I also did found T3 disappointing compared with the first two.

I felt the T2 as the best of the Terminator trilogy and the original 1984 Terminator film just as good. T3 as not so good, so much damage with so many bombs and explosions. Cars smashed, the streets ruined, the attacks, the gun firings, you name it.

I can’t see any sense in T3 with all the violence and gory to the end. The cinema ticket was expensive. I have to wait 20 minutes for the film to start with so many ads and previews waiting and waiting for it what a waste of time.

I kept on saying to myself I want the film while waiting and waiting with all that trash of advertising and I’ll never go the cinema again for this year.

I am a DVD addict and I’ll stick to the DVD at home.

how so...have you even seen the Anamatrix?????? those are suppose to be part pre-quels to the Matrix that explains how the Matrix came to be. in some of the short stories, they completely reminded me of the Terminator series...if you can't even see the remote connection, then you must be blind.

the jump from the terminator series to the matrix is very logical..though prolly not the studios intent...of course, i'm not saying everything in both series completely ties in together...there are some inconsistencies...but that being noted...terminator series would make a good prequel for the matrix.....can easily explain how the "rise of the machines" took over the humans, which lead the the creation of the matrix.

ok...so there are some movies where the Bad Guy turns good...but it's just rare....I haven't seen goldmember yet..saw the other two though....although that's a comedy and Dr. Evil is pretty damn funny.... Terminator series is a little more serious.

Someone refresehin my memory on Return of the Jedi...who turned good? I haven't seen the older Star Wars in about 10 years..but loved them..just waiting for them to come out on DVD....those haven't come out on DVD YET..HAVE THEY? Man...that would be crazy if I missed that.,

ahh yes....it's been a super long time since i've seen any of those older Star Wars movies....what classics though....Lucas is no joke. Can't wait for them to come on DVD...that's why i've never rented them....I want to see them for the first time digitally remastered...NOT on VHS.

Well, it definitely had gory action. But no real substance and no original ideas. Good to watch once perhaps. But would you invest in its DVD? Respect your opionion though.

I think in UK, Mondays are the days with reduced rates (at least that used to be in 1992/3) :P

Well that was 10 years ago. In Swindon at Cineworld, Tuesday is the reduced rate day. Hence me going on Tuesday.
