  1. I have some MPEG1 files wich i want to burn with IDVD, Thet can not be imported in IDVD or Imovie. I can play them in Quicktime but cannot export them from Quicktime Pro because it says that there is no audio track. Anyone knows how to convert this file to a usable video/sound file.

    (mpeg info: Mpeg 1 system file (video/audio), Muxrate 1.41mbps, size 253x240, 29,97fps, 1.15Mbps, Audio Mpeg 1 layer 2, 224kbps, 44100 HZ, stereo no emphasis)

just a heads up, that the resulting video after idvd will probably look really bad.

demux with ffmpegx or missingmpegtools, then convert the mpeg video to .mov through qt pro, covert mpeg audio to aiff, join audio video, add scaled in qt pro. this should work. havent done something like this in a long time so a step might be missing.

if you can get dvd studio pro (dsp) you can author mpeg 1 video in it. maybe wait and see if toast 6 will make dvd's w/ mpeg 1 video. if you have that many. but i'd only do one and a short one just to test to see if you even like the resulting quality. i htink it'd look better to just keep it as a vcd. unless somehting like sizzle can handle mpeg1's or what about trying to author the mpeg1 as dvd with ffmpegx or missing mpeg tools??
