  2. When you say 2 CDs it really depends on the runtime of your source. If you want to generate two SVCDs using the normal template use the 'source range' option to encode:

    http://www.vcdhelp.com/DVDConversionGuidev1.3/dvdtovcd2.html#TMPGEnc

If you want to make an xSVCD where each part of the movie fills up the whole CDR try this:

    1) Click on Tools | Bitrate calculators (the vcdhelp.com one is fine, they're really all the same). Enter all your info. This will give you a video bitrate to use.

    2) Run TMPGenc, load the SVCD or VCD template. Then load the unlock template (../templates/extras) this wil unlock all the greyed out portions of the standard template.
    Load your source as normal.

    3) Click on settings. Set motion search to high, and under encode choose either CBR or 2pass VBR.

CBR - constant bitrate. Just enter the number from the calculator
2pass VBR - variable bitrate. Will make 2passes (this will double the encode time). max=dvd players max, ave=calculator, min=(calculator-300~500). This will give a better encode, but unless your source is DVD or high quaility, just use CBR to save time.

If necessary click on the audio tab and set the bitrate to what you used in the calculator.

    4) Setup source range (see link above).
