CloneDVD & DVDShrink give NV_Pack Errors

I have a Pioneer 120S drive and have encountered this similar message with both DVD Shrink v2.3 and the latest version of Elby's CloneDVD. It only occurs on some DVD movies (DVD9) but not on others. I ripped with both Smartripper and DVD Decryptor in file mode and got the same errors at the same points.

DVD Shrink Error :

:invalid nv_pck : nv_vobu_ea

CloneDVD Error :

NavigationPack 0 VOBU 4 2097080 265 TCE


Similar errors from both apps relating to the navigation pack thing. Pinnacle Instant Copy however had no problems reading and compressing the movies.

Movies I had problems with were all PAL and were Chopper, Reign Of Fire & Ferris Beuller's Day Off however Rush Hour 2 (also DVD9) was fine.

Anyone had similar error messages ?

After having read other threads, it does appear that the Pioneer 120s is causing a lot of problems.

Well I got rid of the Pioneer 120S over the weekend and got myself an ASUS E616 DVDROM. Works perfectly and was able to backup all the movies that I had trouble with in the first place on the Pioneer. There is something not quite right about that drive and I hate the way it sticks when pushing the disc in on the slot loading version.........

Stay away from this drive I say.......
