    Hi.

I am testing out the VCD Easy program that I just downloaded. I tried to burn a Mpeg movie onto CD-Rom, but the resulting VCD only had half the original Mpeg footage ... any reason why this happened.

In the VCD Easy LOG, I notice something that said:

"bad packet at packet #125016 (stream byte offset 290537164) -- remaining 258835500 bytes of stream will be ignored"

Can anyone offer advice , thanks !

It may be a something simple.... but I have tried again and again to use VCD Easy to make a VCD with the my Mpeg file, but it still cuts it in half....

Would someone please help me understand what is happening !?

    Thanks,
    Casey

We need more information about this "MPEG" movie. In particular how long time-wise the movie lasts, wether it is MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 format and the size of the original movie file (in mb.) Make sure the MPEG file was recorded in MPEG-1 format at 1150kbps video bitrate. The VCD format has a "fixed" video bitrate of 1150 kbps, which equates to approx 795mb of disk capacity on an 80 minute CD and approx 80min of play time In MPEG-1 format.

    Thanks Hwoodwar,

The video is Mpeg 1. It is supposed to be around 50 minutes long, but could only make a 28 minutes VCD using VCD Easy.

I'm not sure about the "bitrate", but the .dat file that VCD Easy created is around 287 Megabytes. (The original Mpeg file is around 500 Megabytes).

I hope this helps better clearly my questions ?

Thanks, and hope you can help.

    Regards,
    Casey
