I'd like to make svcd's capturing at 680x480 with VirtualVCR. (It doesn't give me the option to capture at 480x480). Since I'll be encoding to 480x480, should I make the frame size 480x480 also, or keep it at 640x480?
Also, I just downloaded CCE ( haven't tried it yet). I'd like to not have to spend $50 on the TMPEGnc; does CCE do as good a job?
Thanks.

The 680 was a typo. I meant 640. I'm still confused about the capture and frame rate difference on VirtualVCR. If I'm capturing at full resolution (640x480), would setting the frame rate to 480x480 change the capture rate?
Why do you think its better to capture at 480x480 instead of 640x480? Is it because the encoder can work better (faster), or do you get better SVCDs? -
