I captured with virtualdub to 352x480 avi using huffyuv and got acceptable results, my intention is to make it a DVD. I edited with Vegas and authored with DVD Architect and found that aparently the interlacing is wrong, the image looks fuzzy when a fast pan occurs.
This is my second try, on my first try I simply converted the avi to mpeg2 with tmpgenc, and got good results, no interlacing problems. And I found that tmpgenc "found" which line goes first, if top line or bottom line. I checked in Vegas and Vegas put progressive as default on the video properties tab.
How can I make Vegas to find which line goes first, top or bottom? Tmpgenc's wizard does that job fast and easy. But I don't want to load tmpgenc before loading the video in Vegas just to find out the interlace field order.
Thanks
George
