Hi,
i ve a portable vcd palyer and a great tft 17 inch monitor.
My player has composite output and i would like to know
how to hook up my composite to my tft monitor.
So i can watch my movies any place i want.
in other words , is there an external composite to vga convertor ?

Yes there is! I know that here in Europe Creative have released a progressive VGA-upconverter that will convert composite, S-Video and regular antenna connections and give a VGA output. If an antenna is connected, you will be able to browse the channels as the box has a built in RF decoder.
Can't remember the name of it, but I know that atleast one other brand is availible.

Yes it's a few more $$, but it will turn that monitor into a full fledged TV with remote. It's got an award winning scan converter that will even do IVTC on the fly. Hey, even home theater people swear by it ( although most would have upgraded to newer models by now ).
