  1. Hello,
I would like to know if anyone could help me, how do I burn a disc using Pinnacle studio 8, I made an DVD image with studio 8, the program said that I could make a DVD using studio 8 from the image. I have recordnow DX whice came with my burner (DRU-510A Sony) but got two bad disc trying to use recordnow, so I wouls like to use studio 8 if it can be done.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. To burn a disc using Studio 8 just open the project > click make movie tab > settings > select burn from disc image in the burn options box. I'm using Studio 8.5, so that says burn from previously created disc content instead. Maybe that will work, if not try another program. When I have an image I use DVD Decrypter to burn it, not Studio. Also, if you've been getting bad copies then test on a RW disc first.

And it only took 13 days after you signed up. Waiting for the opportune moment?

I believe you could also just burn it straight from your project instead of making an image first. I only use Studio 8 for editing though, no burning.

  4. You can burn it either way. Part of Studio 8 is being able to author and burn in one step. Re-open your image file in Studio and burn to disk. You can use a +/- RW first if you like, then use Record now DX to make a copy to +/-R for your finished disk.

Are you doing a disk copy with Record Now? Use the wizard and choose "Make a Exact Copy".

  7. If you are getting the burn error on a different type of disk, it may be the disk and not the program causing the error.

I think he's trying to burn the image...incorrectly instead of making a exact copy of the -RW disk.

The way I understand it is he burned an image to -RW and it worked, then he tried to burn the same image to a -R and it did not. It sounds like the -R disks may be faulty. Am I misunderstanding something here?

I am happy you got it working and it was only bad disks and not a drive. Much cheeper than replacing a drive

  14. Sugestion. Do not burn with PS8. It can do it but it is not it's primary goal. Use burning software. I use Nero in combination with PS8.
