  1. OK this is strand, in my computer windows says the dvd is 6.93gb, but when i rip all the files to my hdd its only 5.17gb,dvd decypter also says its 5.17gb.

Right i'm doing a full backup.Theres two vob sets on the disc, the second vob set has 3 program chains, two are 5 mins and one is about 15 mins.I need to strip out one of those chains as its a trialer that starts before then movie,im gonna use ifoedit to strip the chain, but i dont know which one is the right one.

Second question is that the first vob set is the movie, but it has two program chains the first is the movie then the second i dont know what it is as its only 25seconds.How do i find out what that is, so if its nothing i can delete it.

  2. Hello Haku.

Sorry if that's not the answer you expected, but why don't you use DVD Shrink v2.3?

It will decrypt the DVD for you, will let you preview all the titles, select which one you want to include in your backup, select what audio/subtitle stream you want to keep, ..., and if you want it to, it will also compress the lot so that it'll fit on a DVD-R (titles can be individually compressed at different levels or not compressed at all).

  3. LOL ... i knew someone would suggest a all-in-one program.

Its ok i figured out which is which and what to strip with ifoedit.Fox logo gone, trailers gone. Just to re-encode the movie now.The rebulid and done.

I use CCE to encode by the way.

  4. Well, you can always use Le Shrink to easily re-author (no compression) and CCE to re-encode. :P

P.S: I missed your posts count.
If I had seen it I would have known you already knew about DVD Shrink.

P.P.S: I use DVD2DVD-R/CCE when too much compression would be neccessary.
