  1. I think I already know the answer to this having read some previous posts on this forum, but it hasn't been mentioned recently, so maybe things have changed.....


    I have a Sony DRU500a writer, and I DESPERATELY need to change the book type filed of my DVD+rw's so that my ageing Toshiba SD100e can "see" them !

    Can I do it using my Sony writer........PLEASE HELP !!!!!!

  2. You are out of Luck. Sony and Pioneer(A06) do not support this feature.
    NEC, Ricoh, HP and Philips will work.

    I have AOpen DVRW2412PRO, which is basically a Ricoh...

    So how can I change the book type filed of my DVD+rw's???

    mondriver, if you have a friend that has a drive capable for bitsetting
    ask him to change the booktype for you on the already burned DVD+RW.

    It takes four seconds with Nero or DVDBitsetter.
