  1. I have 10 vob files in my hard drive. Each one is a videoclip, some are pal, some are ntsc, and with different sound formats. I'm trying to authoring a dvd with all of them. Tried dvdlab but it didn't work. Tried trailer guide in this forum and it didn't work. Does anybody know how to do it? and which authoring software can handle vob files besides dvdlab?

What does "did not work" mean? An error message? Program locked up? Say what you mean, please.
    Hello.

  3. I solved the problem. I think it's a matter of bugs in different versions; with dvdlab 1.1 I was able to import dvd files and compile a dvd but with no sound. With version 1.2.2 you can't do that because gives an error message, but you can recover the sound of your previous authorized project. Do you know any other software which can work with vob files?

  4. Have a look at Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2.

There is an IMPORT DVD button that - when clicked - will let you browse to the location of VIDEO_TS and DVD_RTAV folders and extract raw MPEGs from the .VOBs or .VROs.

The free trial download is here:

  5. Hey Specialist, when I use this feature, I always get a Insuffiant disk space warning. I am not sure why, cause there is plenty of space on my drive.

Unless my C:// drive needs to have more space, it only has 3 gigs open

I author dvds from different vobs all the time. It works terrific for me, no problems at all. However, there are not many programs which support vobs as inputs. My previous post touches this topic. Follow the link below:

I must admit I have never authored a dvd using mixed vobs, pal and ntsc (my vobs are all ntsc). Still it should work otherwise convert pal clips to ntsc or vice versa. The link below might help you in this regard:

I use dvd maestro to author my dvds because I like to have advanced features like motion menus, to navigate between menus as I please, subtitles etc. However, if you are not interested in that sort of stuff you can use DVD Movie Factory 2, Dvd Workshop or Power Director Pro. All of them support .ac3 audio files but none of them support vobs. You can
use demux/remux trick using TMPGEnc I described in my previous post if you want to use any of the above programs.
