  1. Greets,

I am trying to work my way though my first author - which is 5 cartoons edited down to 22 minutes on Premiere, and exported using Premiere's Main Concept MPEG converter. Everything is 4:3.

I have authored v1.0 of the disk with just a main menu and 5 buttons, with labels, which would run each of the cartoons. I am trying a more advanced author with each button bringing up a sub-screen which has a description of the cartoon, with a play button. Everything works on both versions.

EXCEPT, on both versions, what looks good on the computer screen, looks horrible on the TV. I know that a computer monitor resolution is infinitely better than a TV. My concern is that DVDIt made no attempt to scale properly for the TV. Items I placed on the main menu, like buttons, or text headings, while perfect on the computer, are cut off on the screen.

Am I doing something wrong? Why would DVDIt take the screen layout, author it, and burn it, if 25% of the 4 sides are just going to be cut off? How can I more properly set up my screen so that it looks ok on an actual TV

    Your advice is appreciated!

I have this problem too. I just dont put any buttos near the edge of the menu. I would also like to know if there is a way to fix this.

  3. Just in case anyone is interested...

DVDiT is no longer available from the SONIC website for trial download.

If you don't have it bundled with your DVD-RW drive then you probably are outa luck.

Someone should probably update the link in the tools section.
