  1. Hello,

I have a bunch of AVI's (Simpsons Episodes).

I'd like to convert them to a DVD-R. There are 22 Episodes with an average time of 23:10 / AVI.

How should I go about converting them to a DVD? Ideally, I'd like a menu listing all episodes, and then separate chapter points in each episode.

    Thanks,

    Cam

FIRST thing you need to do is convert your AVIs to DVD complian MPEGs

Check the CONVERT and GUIDES sections at the left for more info

You will NOT be able to fit all episodes onto one disc...will need to span probably several discs...

  4. Actually, if your DVD player works with it (and very many do) You can make all your stuff fit on one DVD using the Half D1 KDVD template from kvcd.net. Since Simpons are animated, there won't be a lot of colors, so it won't be that hard to fit all 8 and 1/2 hours on a DVD with quality at or almost unnoticablely near to your source. Your audio bitrate needs to be 160kbps or lower.

You need to frameserve from VDub to TMPGEnc with the framesize resize filter in VDub set to whatever is standard for your video system (NTSC or PAL). You'll learn these standard frame sizes when you go to the KVCD website.
