I would like to know how to make DVD menus with custom graphics and text buttons using the program TMPGEnc DVD Author. If it is not possible, well then![]()

Hum. No real guide in the tool section...
Check the help built in to the program. But for a quicky just click with the left button on a text graphice entry to adjust or change. -
You'll probably be able to use some custom graphics for the background picture, but I don't think it's possible right now to add custom buttons.
-
Well, you can do mock buttons if you replace the thumbnail with a jpeg image. You can't exactly drag and drop it but it will look like a button that will highlight in red when you select it.
I am on the hunt for .tme files...somebody's got to have done some custom templates by now."Only Users Lose Drugs" -
Yah, i tried those tools, but DVD Workshop reencodes and DVDit! makes the files bigger than they are....I also tried DVD-Lab, but for some reason it messed up my video on my first movie (I fit 2 movies on 1 DVD)

DVD Workshop won't re encode unless you want it to. Leave the box that says "do not convert compliant MPEG files" checked and it won't re encode.

TXPharaoh, I have compliant files, it's just I wanna use the nonstandard MP2 audio, which works with most other programs.

Mp2 is standard for us in the Europeonly (region 2). It is the so called "musicam" audio I think.
No, there is not yet any dvd menu creation program for DVD Author.
They gonna realise one in the close future.
There is a rumour that there gonna be a retail package called simply "TMPGenc" about christmass. This retail package gonna have TMPGenc Plus, TMPGenc Author and TMPGenc Menu Creation together, as one multiprogram.
Standalone versions of those programs gonna be only on line, for the retail market you gonna have to buy this version. The reason for this is the low sales of Tmpgenc retail box, compared ofcourse with the awesome sales of the online version!
It sound logical, but I repeat: It is just a rumour! -
I say that the MPEG group (or whoever's in charge) should add MP2 audio to the DVD standard of NTSC since most DVD players that can read other formats work with it anyway and anywhere.
