I was wondering # should does everyone set for this? Of course, I leave it off for DVD Rips, but say for Captured videos (off Basic Cable) or VHS? Any suggestions?

Also, I capture Simpsons EPs and usually use TMPGEnc's Noise Reduction Filter @ 100/1/100 and get GREAT results. Does anyone know the equilvant or closest comparing TMPGEnc's 100/1/100 to CCE's Anti Noise Filter? Or are they completely two different filters?

TMPG's noise reduction is much better. Stay with it even when you use CCE as encoder.

So I shouldn't use CCE when I encode my Simpsons EPs. hehe
I tried useing TMPGEnc Noise Reduction Filter, then use VFAPI to convert the Saved TPR file to AVI. Then imported it to CCE and encoded. The output video was the same quality expected of TMPGEnc, but the video loss tons of frames. =| So I guess I'll stick to TMPGEnc (longer encoding times, but guess it's worth it in this case).

I wouldn't tend to say don't use it. Although I haven't had a need for it myself (just DVD rips) it's one of those things you have to play around with. Try making a 30sec. or 1min. clip for testing.

Don't know why you were losing so many frames though. Just try adjusting the noise filter by ones. Keep in mind you don't (& can't use the same settings you would if you used TMPGEnc. CCE goes in the reverse order.
