  1. OK so, here is the run down…

I have a Sony 300 DVD player and some 9.4 GB 2x double sided verbatim media.

I can easily rip a dvd and use dvdShrink or some other tool to make it 4.5 GB (or about that). What I’d like to do is the following:

Put (2) 4.5 gb movies on each side of the disk. But I need something that will make menus that will point to each movies ifo file or something. That way I can put 4 movies to a disk with out losing chapter information and subtitiles and all the rest..

    Thanks for the help…

Not possible to put 2 4.5 gb films on a 4.5 layer. Try one per side and you'll be laughing using the tools you mentioned. I think you will find you have misunderstood the disc capacity.

is this not 9.4 GB on both sides?

  4. Nope, it's 4.7 on each side for a grand total of 9.4gb. You'd need to do some serious reencoding to fit four movies on it.

  5. Actually, you can do the reencoding with virtually no quality loss with KDVD template from KVCD.net using TMPGEnc......

  6. Then why does it say 9.4 2x double side and cost $8 dollars each???

  7. They can't burn dual-layer DVDs yet on affordable drives.....for the dual-layer it's like 1500 bux.

  8. 9.4 total capacity - 2x write speed...

    not 9.4 times 2 capacity.

the 2x simply refers to max write speed

  9. I agree with above.
