Anyone have any idea why my recently downloaded version of Ulead 6.5 takes ~9 minutes to encode at 5.5k for a measly 25 second clip? Should it take this long? Or am I missing something? Tmpgenc and CCE are much much faster, unless I got a setting off

NO, it should not take that long at all. I encoded a 1h22min avi file (SCARY MOVIE) to vcd and it too me about 1h.
BUT, it also depends on your computer speed, ram and the options you choised to encode.
