  1. I am trying to backup Merlin (about 7.6GB size after ripping it with dvdshrink) onto two discs using the "copy entire DVD". DVDFab ver 0.16.1 splits the two discs with about 7.3GB for disc 1 and about 200mb for disc two. Splitting the movie only works fine (but you lose the menu)

Version 0.15.1 splits it with about 3.3GB disc1 and about 3.8gb disc2. I have been using 0.15.1 for about a month or so and was successful in backing up multiple DVDs without a problem. Merlin however seems to choke both versions.

Any ideas why this might be!

    Thanks,

  2. I had similar problem with DVDFab 0.15.3,0.16.0, and 0.16.1. It was quitting on me in the middle of the "Processing Files".
DVDFab is tring hard to fix this issue. Hopefully we will have new version soon with fixes.

BTW: Where can I get 0.15.1? I can't find it on the DVDFab's website.
Hope asking for a freeware is not warez! I would like to give a try.

Thanks so much for releasing one last freeware version. I was born in Germany but have to say the current laws suck there and I'd do the same thing if I were in your shoes.

  4. I found Merlin to compress surprisingly well with several programs. I suggest you try it. I know it is a large movie but must be encoded wastefully to start with.
