  1. I just noticed today that MedioStream, the company that sell neoDVD software, just came out with a newer version (5.0 for neoDVD Plus) and a new product called neoStudio.
The is the bad part about this company:
    1) there is no software upgrade to 5.0 for the users who already paid for version 4.1
    2) they bundle neoDVD version 5.0 in the neoStudio package and sell it as a new product so if you want upgrade, you have to buy the entire new package. This is only good for first time buyers.

  2. Even their "Plus" product is a simplistic authoring tool. Only reason I got it was because it imports VOB files (and does a decent job converting PAL VOB Files to NTSC DVDs)

What was worse, I bought v3.x in a "Computer Superstore" , they had no newer version thought it was latest (Store would not allow return). There was an upgrade from 3 to 4, but it was almost same price as stand alone. Like an idiot, I went for the upgrade from 3 to 4.

There are much better tools out there, why not look at going for a more advanced authoring tool, since they are making it soooo difficult.

MedioStream software sucks too. The program and interface was made for a monkey. I like options and control. Their products offer NONE of that.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  4. MedioStream has to used this strategy to force [previous] users to pay the full price again for the upgrade. neoStudio is nothing but a new version 5.0 of neoDVD Plus (no one know if any improvement is made over 4.1).

I agreed that this software is very simplistic, I bought for two reasons:
    1) it is the fastest one (from capturing DV/analog thru burning DVD)
    2) it encodes audio to AC3, and therefore make more room for video.
    I forgot the third reason:
    3) it's so simple that my wife does most the video -> DVD with this software. There is not much to screw up here.

For more fancy DVD, I use different tools to make professional looking DVD. However, I have to admit that this software delivers what it advertise, never crash my system like others.
