What are the necessary preconditions for capturing from Digital Video Camera (Panasonic NV-MX500) to PC (AMD Athlon, Video GeForce FX 5700), using USB. PInnacle software is available? Is it necessary to buy special video card with IEEE-1394 cable?

You can get external capture devices that plug into a USB port but they only allow low resolution (ie poor quality) capture. You don't need a special video card, just a separate IEEE 1394 card (also known as Firewire). In UK they start at about £25 or £50 including editing software. If you are in the US, that price can usually be changed to $.
