Pioneer DVR-105 and divx burning

I have a good idea how to make DVD backups and burn mpeg movies......however i have many movies in divx format and would like to know how to burn divx movies just to watch on pc and not in dvd home player.
Can you please also give detail of best software to use for this please.

For that i would have to say nero .. but really any burning software ..

Thankyou for your reply, i have manged to create a backup of one of my fav Dvd films using Datawrite Red Media.....however when i use this same media and the latest version of nero express to create a DATA Dvd, so as i can simply drag and drop my Divx films the burn does not even start.
I get an error message telling me the media in the drive has not been recognised, does anyone have any idea as to what is going wrong.
Is this a problem with nero or the drive in which case should i flash to the latest firmware as i have not upgraded from the 1.30 the drive came as.
Will using any other software recognise the media ? (maybe silly but i dont want to really like idea of flashing drive).
Any help with this please as i am really at a loss as to why nero/drive is doing this.
