Sounds like maybe you are playing a PAL DVD and using an NTSC TV.

  3. Does your PS2 have a mod-chip in it? I have had one customer of mine say that his PS2 played DVD-Rs with no color. His was chipped.

  5. Yeah my Ps2 Plays ntsc films in black & white too

I used the action reply v2 to change the region
But the pal Films on Dvd-r work perfect
My PS2 even Play Dvd-rw Discs i find that odd when it can not play Cd-rw discs?

My Ps2 is not chipped & like i say Pal backups work perfect

I'm sure I have read somewhere on this forum that the ps2 is quite fussy on which burning program you have used and on what media you have burned onto.

  8. there's an easy way round this m8 simply goto your electrical retailer and buy an RGB scart socket and you should be viewing in full colour

  10. hi, if you are trying to watch a ntsc dvd on a pal tv then it will play in black and white. if you are using the lead that sony give with the ps2, the one with the 3 composite connectors (red, white, yellow), either directly plugged in or via the scart adaptor it will still be black and white, you will need a proper rgb scart lead and also a disc called dvd region free/dvd region x or something similar that will allow u to change regions and also get rid of the green screen you will get as aresult of using a proper rgb scart lead. hope this helps.
