Have a Pixelview Pro Tv card. Use Windows ME -my PC specs-PIII800,20 GB HD,256 MB RAM. Have been using VFW drivers and Vdub for captures. No problems capturing at any size-using btx.. tweak-captures are superb. Have tried earlier WDM drivers and was disappointed. Now Pixelview have released WDM drivers for my card which are superb. However, their software for WDM drivers does not allow avi compression. As per advice here, downloaded WDM wrapper from Tools section and installed. Still Vdub does not work. Would very much appreciate advice on how to get it to work. Pl. do not suggest btwincap drivers-they do not work with my card(tuner identification is the problem-in dscalar-any model of Philips PAL tuner works-none with btwincap). Have other software which work with WDM-but none provide for avi compression.

I don't believe the wrapper works with win98se or winme. Its an NT wrapper so works with win2k,nt and xp.

Its either vfw or wdm but not both at once.

I am 100% sure with win98se but have not tried it with winme but seem to recall reading it somewhere.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

My PC is now PIV 2.4 GHz with dual boot-98SE and XP.-98 display is configured for High Color (16 bit)-XP display is True Color (32 bit)
I finally figured out Btwincap (WDM driver) setting for my Pixelview PlayTV Pro (9.D) card. Used Btwinstaller installer in 98 and-installation by hand option in XP. Loaded WDM Wrapper in both.
Guess what-Virtualdub is able to capture in both 98 and XP at all the resolutions available in Virtualdub. The trick?!- Only preview mode is supported-default in Virtualdub is Overlay mode-which does not work!! Bonus-WDM drivers have the capability to tune to any channel available.
In my opinion, at least for PAL, the Btwincap drivers are the best available for Bt8x based cards.
On the clean channels I use ULead DVD Moviefactory to capture to 720x576 mpeg2-trim ads and burn to mini DVD-video quality as good as DVDs. On the not so clean channels I use Vdub with the PICVideo MJPEG codec-clean and convert to mpeg2 with TMPGEnc.
    Extremely happy now.
